The unexamined life is not worth living.

Or maybe, in my own words, "One must reflect on ones own life to truly celebrate it".
This past year a couple of really big things happened. I opened SilverWorks and my blogging software ceased to work. These two events, one a roadblock to publish, and the other a overwhelming time commitment, killed my personal blogging.
Oh sure, I started a blog for SilverWorks, but as in all more professional blogs designed more for branding and marketing, there is little depth of feeling, experience, reflection, or...
food.
And while a good portion of the things that give me joy and contemplation were censored out, so was a way to look back and reflect, or celebrate the life of this past year.
Well that has got to stop.
I admit that it was a conscience choice to focus all of my time on the new venture. And I am coming up on the anniversary of taking the keys one year ago. There was much sacrifice of time and energy and artist fridays, not to mention my first grey hairs to get the studio off the ground. Blogging is another kind of time commitment, and a bit of a luxury. But this has been an extraordinary year, and without a blog it has been a bit of a blur...
almost like it didn't exist.
So to gain it back, and hopefully not rewrite history, I will be doing a bit of a recap over the next few days for my own "examining".
Then I hope to continue blogging as before.
To celebrate life.
Last night's nibbles...
